Capri's Sandals
The Caprese sandalwood tradition is probably two centuries old. Already with the settlement of Augustus on the island, in 29 BC, Roman women loved to adorn their feet with leather shoes tied with flat goatskin strips. Practically the same material that we still use today: the best hand-sewn Tuscan leather and mignon strips of goatskin.
Everything remained unchanged until the 1950s when, to satisfy the vanity of famous and non-famous ladies who began to frequent the island en masse, Caprese sandal is enriched with rhinestones, corals, crystals and semi-precious stones. And this is precisely the spirit of our production: the tradition enriched by some small innovations, to create an even more beautiful product, namely the jewel sandal.
